A couple whose wedding featured in the Telegraph & Argus in 1964 have celebrated their golden anniversary.
Brian and Joan Copley (pictured) were married on March 21 at St Aidan’s Church, Buttershaw.
The pair were pictured alongside Joan’s sister Jacqueline and her husband Roy McNamara – because both couples were married on the same day at the same church.
Mr and Mrs Copley marked their anniversary by going to see The Lion King at the Alhambra in Bradford yesterday , before a party tonight .
The Bradford-born couple have also recently returned from Australia, where they visited son Michael, 49.
They also have a daughter Jayne, 46, who lives in Low Moor, two grandsons, James, 28, and Daniel, 26, and great-granddaughter Georgia, four.
The couple live in Bankfoot, having previously lived in West Bowling and Sunderland.
