A teddy bear enjoyed a spot of luxury travel yesterday, thanks to the charitable efforts of staff from a Bradford TK Maxx store.
Branches across West Yorkshire are taking part in a challenge to transport Patch the teddy from one store to the next in an unusual way, and staff at Bradford’s Forster Square store decided a limousine journey to the next store in Guiseley would fit the bill.
Staff at the Bradford branch have raised more than £3,000 for children’s cancer research since starting their appeal last month.
When Patch completes his journey, he will be taken to a West Yorkshire hospital and donated to a child suffering from cancer.
TK Maxx team leader, Hena Anwar, said: “The teddy idea was really good, and we’ve had a lot of fun with it. We grew very attached to Patch, and were sad to see him go!”
