A young mother has been convicted by a jury of causing grievous bodily harm with intent by biting off part of a woman’s ear at the Horse and Groom pub in Wibsey.
Sophia Blackburn, 24, of Torre Road, Horton Bank Top, Bradford, will be sentenced on April 14, along with two men who pleaded guilty to violent disorder at the pub in May last year.
Blackburn was acquitted by the jury at Bradford Crown Court yesterday of violent disorder.
Stephen O’Connor, 44, of Beacon Place, Buttershaw, Bradford, changed his plea to guilty to violent disorder in the closing stages of the case.
Jason Johnson, 24, of Torre Road, admitted the offence on the first day of the trial.
A fourth defendant, Christopher Allsopp, 20, of Barden Avenue, Buttershaw, Bradford, was cleared of violent disorder on the direction of the judge on Tuesday.
