Hundreds of pupils from across Bradford are taking part in the week-long challenge designed to light the fire of business in them.
Would-be entrepreneurs from 34 schools are taking place in the Dragons’ Den-style contest.
The launch of Bradford Council’s Step Up Market Challenge, now in its fifth year, was held at Morrisons’ Bradford headquarters yesterday.
Pupils will be encouraged to demonstrate enterprise knowledge, skills and capabilities to compete to go forward to the Grand Finale Market.
Councillor Ralph Berry, executive member for children’s services, said: “Events like Step Up Market Challenge are an excellent way of introducing children to business and inspiring our next generation of entrepreneurs.”
