Nursery children have used art to help liven up a road in Bradford with giant aliens and hairy fleas.
Youngsters at Midland Road Nursery and Children’s Centre in Manningham got together with artists Lou Sumray and Fabric Lenny to come up with the designs, which have been incorporated into a piece of public art entitled The Wall.
It is part of the Manningham Together project, said head of the centre Sharon Hogan, who added: “What we wanted to do was try and develop Midland Road so when people come to the area, they get a positive view of the city.”
Mrs Hogan said the children’s artwork was the launch of the initiative, which she hoped would become a longer term project for the area.
