Two lorries have collided on the M62 causing three lanes to be closed.

The articulated vehicles, and possibly a Vokswagen Golf, were involved in the accident a third of a mile from Junction 25 of the westbound M62 at Brighouse.

Police were called at 11.52am.

One of the lorries was a white Mercedes-Benz, but police were not able to give details of the other HGV.

A police spokesman said three lanes are closed.

The Highways Agency is reporting queuing traffic between Brighouse and Chain Bar, at Junction 26. It said lanes two and three are closed towards Manchester.
