Oxenhope-based Bridgehouse Brewery produced a special Rudolph's Ruin ale, from which 5p on every pint sold went to the Sue Ryder hospice. The company hoped to sell about 3,500 pints, but exceeded 5,000 and had to brew more to cope with demand. More than £250 was raised and the kitty was boosted by brewery co-owner David Halliday, who took part in the Stoop Fell Race above Haworth – dressed as Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer! Brewery director Simon Lamb (pictured) said: “Everyone was really pleased and would like to thank those who raised a glass.”
