A church is inviting the community to see how £185,000 has been spent upgrading its facilities.

Cleckheaton Methodist Church is holding an open day to mark the achievements of its Faith In Our Future project.

The event will also acknowledge the contribution made by architects Design Studio-North, Crossmann Builders, Walter West Builders and funders.

The third phase of Faith In Our Future was completed in September. It focused on improvements to the ground floor community hall, snooker room, toilets, and storage facilities. Single-glazed windows were replaced with double-glazed ones, toilets for disabled users were installed and a small kitchen was created.

Full plans for the next stage of work, which includes access improvements and upgrading the church’s worship space, will be shared at the open day on March 14.

The open day takes is on March 14 from 10am to 2pm, with a short ceremony thanking those involved in the project at noon, at the church in Mortimer Street.

The project plans can also be viewed on March 16 after the 10.30am Sunday morning service.
