Tree planters are needed at Scholes recreation ground
The Friends of Scholes Recreation Group are seeking volunteers for their forthcoming tree planting weekend.
The group has secured £3,000 to improve the local ‘rec’, in Old Popplewell Lane, and following a donation of 105 saplings from The Woodland Trust, the group now need help to plant them.
Helpers should go along to the event from 10am until 4pm on Saturday, March 22.
