A shelter preparing for another influx of pregnant cats and kittens is “praying for a miracle” and hoping its neutering message will make an impact.
Cross Roads-based Yorkshire Cat Rescue says adult cats on its waiting list are dying before they can be accommodated, because its pens are full of unwanted kittens.
Charity founder Sara Atkinson said: “We keep shouting about the benefits of neutering. We consider pregnant cats and nursing mums the highest priority and try our hardest to accommodate them at short notice.”
