Yorkshire Water is warning people to beware of bogus callers after clothing was stolen from one of its vans.
The company fears items stolen from a van in South Yorkshire could be used across the region by people pretending to be its staff.
All genuine Yorkshire Water employees carry identification, which customers can verify by calling 0800 138 7878. The company also operates an agreed password system, which customers can use whenever they receive a phone call or a visit.
