Bradford West MP George Galloway told Parliament he was “very concerned” over the latest Ofsted report on a troubled free school in the city.

The government inspector’s report, released earlier this week, said Kings Science Academy was not making improvements fast enough following an inspection last year that determined the school “needed improvement”.

Among the criticisms were that the Lidget Green free school had not employed enough experienced teaching staff.

In response, Mr Galloway submitted a Parliamentary motion yesterday, saying: “Past and present trustees and governors have failed pupils and parents and are not fit for purpose and, the school should be removed from the control of the Trust that set it up.”
