How healthy food can taste good was the message for children at an event in the Oastler Centre, Bradford.
The Good Food Advice Stall in the market, set up by Bradford Council in November, held a healthy eating drive with children invited to make their own “pedal powered” smoothie on a converted bike, allowing them to exercise and create a healthy treat at the same time.
Visitors dropping by could also milk a mechanical cow, get tips on the best ingredients to a healthy lunch box and to take part in cooking demonstrations.
Groups taking part included the Council, the Ministry of Food and the NHS.
