Guests at an annual ball in Bradford dug deep to raise £3,500 for armed forces charity Help for Heroes.
The annual ball, at the Cedar Court Hotel, Bradford, was attended by 225 diners, including members of the Help for Heroes Band of Brothers and Band of Sisters – support groups for the wounded, injured and sick servicemen, women and veterans and their families.
Event organiser, the Building and Engineering Services Association (B&ES) Yorkshire region, has now presented a cheque to the charity.
Yorkshire region chairman Jim Marner chose Help for Heroes as their charitable cause for the year. He said: “Deciding to support Help for Heroes was an easy decision based on the selfless sacrifice that our servicemen and women have made on our behalf.”
