A pedestrian is fighting for his life with head injuries after a collision with a car in Westgate, Bradford, last night.
Police say the 46-year-old man is in a critical condition and they are appealing for any witnesses who saw what happened.
A blue BMW was travelling along Westgate towards White Abbey Road at about 7.10pm yesterday when it was in collision with the man, near to the junction of Drewton Road .
The BMW driver, a 28-year-old man from Bradford, was not hurt.
The road was closed for some time while emergency services were at the scene and investigations were carried out.
Anyone who saw the collision or the vehicle or pedestrian's movements before it, should contact PC Faiz Alam at the Western Area Roads Policing Unit on 101.
