MP Philip Davies tells of Shipley telephone service fault frustration

Bradford Telegraph and Argus: Shipley MP Philip Davies Shipley MP Philip Davies

People trying to contact Shipley MP Philip Davies are finding his office telephone line is out-of-order.

Mr Davies has spoken of his frustration at the problem, which is also affecting others in the area and could last up to two months.

Constituents calling the number for his constituency office in Otley Road, Shipley, are being met with an engaged tone with no way of leaving a message.

Nor can a message be left alerting people to the problem.

Mr Davies said BT wanted to repair the line immediately but needed to access the cables under the main road.

He said it could be another two months before BT was given permission by Bradford Council to install temporary traffic lights and dig up the road.

He said: “I am extremely sorry for the inconvenience that is being caused to my constituents by this fault.

“I am also extremely concerned for the other local businesses that are being affected and I trust that Bradford Council and BT will work together to get this fixed immediately.

“A two-month delay would be totally unacceptable."

Constituents are advised to contact Mr Davies via his Westminster parliamentary office on (0207) 219 8264, e-mail philip.davies.mp@parliament.uk, send a message via the website www.philip-davies.org.uk/contact or write a letter to Philip Davies MP, House of Commons, London SW1A 0AA.

Will Mr Davies be doing the honorable thing and pay for the cost of this long-distance phone call?

So it's not just Philip that's out-of-order then?
“I am also extremely concerned for the other local businesses that are being affected and I trust that Bradford Council and BT will work together to get this fixed immediately."
And who are they Philip, surely you cold give examples?
“A two-month delay would be totally unacceptable."
Anything that limits your means of communication is more than acceptable to me. It might give you time to think and thus avoid embarrassing yourself and the people of Shipley who you claim to represent every time you open your mouth.

What no mobile number? Get a grip you porky bloater and use some of your vast amount of food money and buy a mobile. You can get one for £15 at Asda!

Mind you it is too convenient to have an out of order phone isn't it because it means you can sit on your fat backside doing bugger all for the people you WORK for. Recently one of his constituents contacted him for help with her hungry disabled daughter which was due to her paying bedroom tax. He wrote back saying he didn't agree with her!
How do you not support a constituent whose daughter is going hungry?
Most likely didn't agree because he wanted all of the pies.

Be careful now or Ms Bedhopper will be finding comfort elsewhere.
