Children at Ghyll Royd School in Burley-in-Wharfedale have been learning about the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Children in years three and four have been visited by Bradford Bulls who have run two workshops on the importance of nutrition. The focus was on a healthy heart and the children made an artificial heart using everyday objects.
Jo Jenkinson, head teacher at Ghyll Royd School said: “The children have regular games and PE lessons each week, numerous fixtures and eat homemade school lunch every day. However, it is always beneficial for this knowledge to be supplemented by external visitors.”
