A retired policeman aims to bring in the coppers for Manorlands.
Jens Hislop is offering to fly the flag from outside his Haworth home in aid of the Sue Ryder hospice.
Anyone wanting to mark an event can ask him to hoist the Union Flag, in exchange for a minimum £5 donation.
The flagpole is in the front garden of his Mill Hey house. A board will explain why or for whom the flag is flying.
