The air ambulance was called to the scene of crash between two cars in Manningham, Bradford, this afternoon.

Part of Carlisle Road was temporarily closed while the emergency services deal with the incident which involves a grey Vauxhall Corsa and a black Volkswagen Passat.

The Corsa ended up wedged on metal railings and the pole of a traffic light with the rear wheels off the ground in the crash which happened at 3.05pm at the junction of Carlisle Road and Bavaria Place.

Two fire engines, six ambulances and response vehicles and four police cars attended the scene.

The air ambulance left at 4.20pm and transported one woman to Leeds General Infirmary.

The other woman and two men were taken by ambulances to Bradford Royal Infirmary

A spokesman for Yorkshire Ambulance Service said no-one had been seriously injured.

“The lady who was airlifted was done so because she was on the side of impact,” added the spokesman.
