West Yorkshire detectives today arrested two men on suspicion of the murder of Bradford car dealer Sajid Saddique.

Officers this week confirmed they were conducting a murder inquiry following the uncovering of new information about the 32-year-old father-of-three’s disappearance, on Valentine’s Day, 2007.

Mr Saddique, of Heaton, vanished without trace after telling his family he was going to a business meeting.

A police spokesman said two Bradford men, aged 52 and 48, had been arrested this morning on suspicion of murder and were currently in custody awaiting questioning.

Mr Saddique had attended meeting with a business associate, in the car park of the Asda at Manor Road, Shipley, but had not been seen since.

His gold-coloured Volkswagen Bora was left securely at the car park and found there later that day by his family.

Two men, a 62-year-old from Bradford and a 45-year-old from Halifax, were arrested earlier this week on suspicion of perverting the course of justice. The older man was released withoutr charge and the 45-year-old bailed pending further inquiries.
