A Bradford mosque has raised more than £1,000 to buy gifts and toys for children in hospital.
Students at the Suffa-Tul-Islam (STI) School, presented Alison Kay, Play Specialist at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, with an array of toys for the playroom during a visit to the paediatric department at Bradford Royal Infirmary.
The students also took gifts for children being treated in the ward and their families.
The initiative is part of the Annual Milaad Activity Week held at STI School to mark the birth of the Prophet Mohammed.
Head teacher Mohammed Naveed Sialvi said: “Every year, at the time of the Prophet Mohammed's birthday, we celebrate the message he brought by contributing to a good cause in our local community.”
