Two drug dealers have had tens of thousands of pounds of their “earnings” confiscated by police.

Xhevahir Manovi and Arzan Pepaj were in a car stopped by police on Horton Park Avenue in October 2011. After searching the car they found £39,920 of cocaine and £25,500 in cash.

Last May the men, of Leicestershire, pleaded guilty to conspiring to supply controlled drugs. Pepaj was sentenced to four years’ imprisonment, and Manovi was given a suspended jail term of 18 months.

They were part of a gang being investigated for supplying drugs across West Yorkshire.

Confiscation hearings against both men have been concluded with Pepaj ordered to pay £13,095 and Manovi £12,750, West Yorkshire Police said.
