Parents bundled their young child out of a back bedroom window to escape a car fire which threatened to engulf their home last night.

Odsal firecrew attended the 11.23pm blaze at Pearson Row, Wyke where heat from a burning Ford Fiesta had cracked the windows of a house and melted its plastic guttering.

The family had made their own way from the endangered building and gone to the safety of neighbours.

The fire was quickly extinguished and the property made safe
