Police found the Ford Galaxy in Wyke on Sunday with the keys still in the ignition. It had been stolen in North Yorkshire.

A short time later two men and a woman were found hiding in a garden.

Two men, aged 29 and 32, were arrested in Storr Hill, Wyke, on suspicion of the theft of the car.

Police said both men were over the legal alcohol limit for driving and both resisted arrest.
