A company hit by an internet hacking fraud which affected scores of Bradford City fans buying tickets to last year’s League Two play-off final at Wembley says it will update customers when it has more information.

The Telegraph & Argus yesterday revealed the Metropolitan Police is investigating how the card details of Bantams’ fans ended up being used to make fraudulent payments after they booked tickets with Ticket Zone.

A spokesman for the company said: “We will be in contact with the fans concerned when we have relevant information or are able to provide an update.”

Last May, the company said police had been called in to investigate what its inquiries had indicated was a “man in the middle” attack, where customers’ details were being intercepted by and copied before their details reached a queuing site it uses operated by a Danish company.
