An inquest into how a Bradford man died soon after he had been released from a police station has been adjourned.

Simon Clifford, 47, of Sandhill Mount, Thorpe Edge, Bradford, had been speaking to police at Keighley Police Station on October 28, 2012, the evening before he died.

The inquest opening heard that Mr Clifford was released in the early hours of the next day and was believed to have been making his own way home on foot. He appeared to have been involved in a collision with a car being driven by a taxi driver in Bradford Road, Riddlesden.

Mr Clifford died from multiple injuries – two forensic post mortems have been carried out. The inquest will resume on February 6.
