A 20-year-old man fell to his death from the sixth floor of a Bingley tower block.

Police were called to Adelaide House on Crosley Wood Road just after 4am on Saturday, where the body of a man was discovered lying on the ground outside.

Det Insp Ryan Bragg of Bradford CID said police were investigating the circumstances of his death, but did not believe there was any “third party involvement”.

He said: “We were called shortly after 4am on Saturday January 18 to a report that a man had fallen from the sixth floor of a property at Crosley Wood Road, Bingley.

“The man is believed to be 20 years old and to have lived locally.

“He was treated by paramedics, but died at the scene.

“Inquiries are ongoing, but at this stage there is nothing to suggest any third party involvement in the death.”

The man’s identity has not yet been released, but floral tributes left at the scene read “RIP Moz”.

A second bunch of flowers, tied to a post at the back of the building, was signed by a number of people and said: “RIP Moz. You will be missed.”

Residents at the complex, which is one of a number of tower blocks on Crosley Wood Road, spoke of their shock about what had happened.

One, who did not want to be named, said: “It’s just so sad. Twenty-years-old is no age at all. I’ve seen people stop and look at the flowers. I didn’t know the man myself, but it affects you when something like this happens.

“It’s a tragic thing to happen to someone so young.” Another added: “I heard about what happened when I woke up on Saturday and I couldn’t believe it.

“My thoughts and prayers go to the man’s family. It’s such a shocking thing to happen.”
