Allerton Primary and Nursery School is celebrating ‘outstanding’ results in a report which compares it to local and national standards.
The Department for Education has published its 2013 Summary Performance Report, showing that the number of Year 6 pupils achieving Level 4 or above in reading, writing and maths surpassed the national average of 75 per cent by 15 per cent and the Bradford average by 21 per cent.
Meanwhile, Year 2 pupils also exceeded the expected standards of 2B or above in reading, writing and maths; an average of 15 per cent higher than the national results. High levels of attendance were also recognised as the overall absence is 1.2 per cent lower than the national average, at only 3.6 per cent.
Headteacher Sharon Lambert said: “I firmly believe that these exceptional outcomes are as a result of school and home working in partnership. This is particularly evident in the outstanding reading results and improvements in attendance over time.”
The results add to Allerton Primary’s track record, having already featured on the Ofsted ‘Outstanding Lists’ in previous years.
