Wooden planters which were part of Bradford Urban Garden are being put to good use at their new homes across the district.

The six planters have been gifted to Prince of Wales Park, Bingley; Holden Park, Oakworth; St Ives Estate, Bingley; Northcliffe Park, Shipley, via Sustainable Shipley and Harold Park, Low Moor.

Ruth Leman, chairman of the Friends of Prince of Wales Park, said receiving the planter was a “great boost.”

It has been placed on a paved area of the park.

“We actually scraped a piece of overgrown grass away and when we did, we realised there was actually a patio underneath so the planter has gone there.

A gazebo, known as Belvedere after the artist who created it, was given to the Bradford Apple Group community orchard at Bowling Park.
