Balloons go up for official opening of £4m new Rainbow Primary Free School in Bradford
Updated 10:52am Wednesday 15th January 2014 in News
A Bradford school will take its pupils over the rainbow – thanks to a £4 million, state-of-the-art new building.
Rainbow Primary free school officially opened an extension yesterday that will allow it to take on up to 525 pupils.
The Lord Mayor of Bradford, Coun Khadim Hussain, attended the opening and said he was very impressed with the building.
The building is on the former site of Nelson Street fire station. Rainbow caters for two reception classes plus years one to five. Year six will start at the school in September, when it will be the district’s first three-form entry free school.
