A training centre for young people, planned for an empty warehouse in Bradford city centre, is likely to get the go ahead tomorrow.

Bradford Planning Panel will discuss the application by social enterprise Aspire-i which Bradford Council planning officers have recommended for approval.

Aspire-i wants to turn the warehouse in Rebecca Street into a training centre that would prepare 16 to 19-year-olds for mechanics or light engineering, including the military. It would train up to 100 young people a year and create six jobs.

The group has previously said that if permission were granted it hoped to open the centre as soon as possible.

The panel meets at City Hall from 10am.
