Delays on Airedale line after train fails near Bingley
Passengers on the Airedale line are experiencing delays of up to an hour this afternoon after a train broke down between Shipley and Keighley.
The offending train has been moved, but knock-on delays are expected until around 4:15pm.
Northern Rail said the 1.41pm Bradford Forster Square to Skipton service was delayed at Keighley and that the 1.56pm Leeds to Skipton was delayed at Bingley.
One frustrated passenger contacted the Telegraph & Argus to say: "Due to a train failure at Crossflatts, the train I was on was delayed and was supposed to depart from Crossflatts at 2:28pm, but instead departed at 3:10pm."
