A Wilsden teenager has been named one of the best young geographers in the country.

Alisdair Glen, a Bradford Grammar School Pupil who got a staggering ten A*s in his GCSEs this summer, was named one of the top achievers in geography by the Royal Geographical Society thanks to his result in the subject.

Alisdair was one of only three people from Yorkshire to gain the accolade and will receive a cash award and certificate from the society.

Steve Brace, RGS Head of Education, said: “It is a real pleasure to celebrate the work of Britain’s next generation of geographers. This is a significant achievement for all pupils receiving awards, as well as for their teachers.”
