A teenager has been locked up for four years for being “actively and extensively” involved in peddling Class A drugs on the streets of Bradford.

Mohammed Saleem, 19, of Dorset Close, Great Horton, Bradford, pleaded guilty to 11 offences of supplying drugs and one charge of dangerous driving, when he sped off from the police.

Saleem admitted nine offences of supplying crack cocaine to undercover police officers in a “professional and slick operation”. He worked alone and turned up to deal his drugs in a variety of different cars, between March 19 and April 12 this year.

Recorder of Bradford Judge Roger Thomas QC said Saleem had supplied drugs in front of children as young as five, who had gathered to watch.

He was arrested on April 14 for dangerous driving and caught drug dealing again a few days later, and again on July 8.

Saleem was sentenced to four years in a young offender institution and banned from driving for 12 months.
