Police have seized the hard drive of a Council computer used by disgraced former Bradford councillor and Methodist Minister Paul Flowers.
Bradford Council has handed over the laptop’s hard drive at the request of West Yorkshire Police.
Flowers, the former chairman of the Co-operative Bank, resigned from the Council in September 2011 after adult pornographic material was found on his computer. At the time, family and work pressures were publicly stated to be the reasons for his resignation.
But a Labour report, released in December, confirmed the real reason was not revealed in order to spare him personal embarrassment.
Flowers, 63, is on police bail after being arrested in November following the release of a video by a national newspaper purporting to show him buying drugs, crystal meth and cocaine.
Two men, aged 26 and 34, from Thornton, Bradford, and Armley, Leeds, are also on bail after being arrested in connection with alleged drugs supply offences.
