Thornton apartment plan is rejected
Plans to turn a beautician salon in Thornton, Bradford, into an apartment have been rejected by Bradford Council.
Susan Drake had wanted to turn the first-floor business, above a salon at 407 Thornton Road, into a dwelling.
But planners said that a beautician’s falls under a use for which there is no permitted development rights, and said any change of use would be unauthorised.
