Officers from British Transport Police are appealing for information after a rail guard was verbally abused on a train.
Investigators have released this image of a man they want to speak to in connection with the incident, which took place at about 9.10pm on Friday, December 6.
PC Sam Bloomfield, of BTP, said: “A man was travelling on the 9.06pm Leeds to Ilkley service when he became involved in a verbal dispute with the train guard about his ticket.
“During the journey the man followed the guard through the train and verbally abused him before getting off at Guiseley.”
Officers are calling on the public to help identify the man.
PC Bloomfield added: “Rail staff should not have to endure abuse or violence for simply carrying out their job and we will do everything we can to bring offenders to justice.
“If you recognise this man, or have any information that could help, please contact us.”
