Police tackled doorstep crime by targeting cold-calling 'hotspots in Bradford over the weekend.
Cold Calling Zones have been started on Sayle Avenue and Daffles Wood Close in Bierley, on Copgrove Close and Cordingley Close in Holme Wood, and on Royds Park Crescent in Wyke.
The areas are considered vulnerable to doorstep crime, and residents have said that they do not want cold callers.
Sgt Mark Otter said: "A number of criminals do pose as doorstep salesman and bogus utility company officials and the implementation of these Cold Calling Zones helps us to raise awareness over the type of tactics often employed by doorstep criminals."
