A woman was rescued from a house fire in Bradford. Fire crews were called to a property on Durham Road, Girlington, at 11.15pm on Friday, after receiving reports of a smell of burning. The woman was given first aid by firefighters before being taken to hospital by ambulance.

Fire crews from Bradford and Fairweather Green stations attended the scene. A fire service spokesman said the house had no smoke alarms.
