Walks promoted around the district
3:31pm Friday 20th December 2013 in News
The organisation responsible for promoting the South Pennines is encouraging people to step out using its walking routes.
The website walkridesouthpennines.co.uk also features many cycling and horse riding routes in the same wild landscapes of Lancashire and West Yorkshire.
In addition, Pennine Prospects is publicising special events over the Christmas and New Year period.
There will be a short guided walk for families, entitled Fun Hat and Wig Walk, setting off from Bingley Arts Centre on January 1 at 12.30pm.
A guided walk taking in the history of Luddendenfoot – near Hebden Bridge – sets off from the Civic Centre, Station Road, Luddendenfoot, on January 5 at 2pm. The cost is £3 per person.
Each walk includes details of distance, difficulty, toilets and public transport routes, as well as a downloadable map.
