Major Bradford road closed in both directions after serious collision
A motorcyclist has suffered serious injuries in a crash with a car in Bradford.
The male casaulty is understood to have been left trapped under the red Kia Picanto following the collision in Canal Road, at the junction with Frizinghall Road, at about 4.50pm today.
Firefighters from Bradford and Idle stations have been called to the scene.
Police have closed Canal Road in both directions and motorists have been urged to avoid the area.
A police spokesman said: “It looks like it is a serious injury collision.”
The closure of Canal Road has led to heavy traffic congestion on nearby roads and alternative routes.
