Plans to extend the White Rose Centre in Leeds have been approved – despite objections from the firm behind Bradford’s proposed shopping development.
Westfield objected to the extension of the White Rose on the grounds of harmful impact on Bradford.
But Leeds City planning councillors last night approved the plans – which include a multi-screen cinema, four new restaurants and the extension of the Debenhams and Primark stores – subject to certain negotiations.
A Leeds City Council spokesman said: “The application has been approved subject to negotiations.”
