The Shipley schoolboy stabbed by rampaging knifeman Nathaniel Flynn has been Prime Minister David Cameron’s special guest at the House of Commons.

Jason D’Arcy, now 10, suffered nerve damage after being stabbed through his right arm and still has loss of use and feeling in some fingers. At the time of the nightmare attack Mr Cameron offered words of sympathy to him and his family.

After 26-year-old Nathaniel Flynn pleaded guilty to killing his grandmother Louisa Denby and stabbing Jason, Shipley MP Philip Davies organised a visit to the Houses of Parliament and No 10 Downing Street including a ten-minute chat with the Prime Minister, just back from South Africa.

“It was just amazing, the day went really well and has already done a heck of a lot to boost Jason’s confidence,” said Jason’s dad Lee.

They met with Mr Davies who first took them for a short tour and visit of Number 10 Downing Street. Then it was over to to the Houses of Parliament to watch Prime Minister’s Questions.

MP Mr Davies said he was delighted that Lee and Jason came down to London and that they had so enjoyed their visit. He said: “What Jason went through was shocking, and something that nobody should have to go through let alone a nine-year-old boy."

He added: "I am extremely grateful to the Prime Minister and his staff for making it happen and giving Lee and Jason a day that I hope they will remember forever.”

Nathaniel Flynn, 26, is in custody and due to be sentenced at Bradford Crown Court next week.
