Police today released this CCTV image of a raider involved in an attempted robbery at a Bradford betting shop last night.
The man, with a scarf covering the lower half of his face, approached the counter of Ladbrokes in Beacon Road, Buttershaw, at about 9pm and held up a piece of paper and a blue carrier bag.
The cashier immediately pressed the panic alarm and ran into a back room. When she returned a few minutes later the robber had gone and nothing had been taken.
The raider appears to be wearing a distinctive hound's tooth checked scarf, a black and grey jumper and a grey hooded top. He is described as being of average height and build.
Anyone with information should contact Bradford CID on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
