Preparations for the Great Yorkshire Show are well underway.

Now in its 156th year, the show takes place on Tuesday, July 8; Wednesday July 9 and Thursday July 10 at the Harrogate showground, and promises to build on last year’s success when more than 130,000 visitors attended.

Visitors can look forward to seeing a show-stopping performance by Lorenzo and his steeds during his daredevil equestrian display and the sheep shearing ladies will make their debut demonstration.

Foodies can savour the region’s finest food and drink in the food hall and see some of the region’s top chefs in action as they showcase their culinary expertise in the cookery theatre.

Other attractions include more than 5,000 of Britain’s best cattle and 2,000 horses and ponies.
