A Bradford organisation is opening a pop-up shop to help families who are facing making cutbacks in the run- up to Christmas.
Purple Patch Arts will sell items priced at £5 or less from its Purple Pop Up Shop, which will also allow people to pay for their purchase by making a promise to do one good deed before the end of the year.
Recently released DVDs will be sold at £2, woolly coats at £3 and a new DVD player at £5 to help struggling families ensure their tree has gifts beneath it.
The shop will also provide a place for people to have free hot drinks. Money raised at the shop will go to rt workshops for adults with learning disabilities.
Purple Patch director Gilly Bryerley said: “The whole ethos of Purple Patch Arts is to help people find happiness and Christmas is a time where everyone should experience that.”
The shop can be found in the old Stead and Simpson shop at 33 Broadway, Bradford, from December 16-21 between 10am and 6pm.
