The budget and finances of a proposed new super-council for West Yorkshire will be unveiled at a public meeting this week.

Plans for a Combined Authority, which would oversee £1.5 billion of investment in the local economy and transport network, have gone to the Government for approval.

Its shadow board has already started meeting ahead of the body’s expected creation in April next year. The authority’s budget will be discussed at its second public meeting, on Thursday at 2pm at the Rosebowl conference centre in Leeds.
