England, France, Italy, Poland, India, China and Pakistan were all represented when a Bradford school celebrated International Day. Pupils at All Saints’ Primary School, in Little Horton Green, dressed in traditional costumes from a variety of different countries, as well as tasting various foods at the event.

The day started with a steel drum performance, and was followed by parents taking part in a cook-off and making dishes from different countries. Pakistani food was voted tastiest by pupils. Students at Grange Technology College visited and had conversations in French with All Saints’ pupils.

Salsa dancers told the story of the origins of the dance and students at Dixons City Academy performed an African drum presentation. For lunch, children sampled dishes from Italy, Poland, England, India and China.
