A 50-year-old man has denied using threatening words or behaviour in a library.

Andrew Carl Matthews is said to have committed the public order offence at Skipton Library on September 5.

Matthews, of Gay Lane, Otley, appeared at Skipton Magistrates Court when he denied the offence.

His case was adjourned for a preliminary hearing on December 20.
