11:00am Wednesday 30th October 2013 in News
A specialist nurse from Airedale Hospital will talk about organ donation next month.
The free talk, which will include information on the need for more people to join the donation register, what happens at donation and how this changes the lives of recipients will be given by specialist nurse for organ donation Rachel Wiseman.
Governor Alan Davies, of Addingham, will also talk and answer questions about his recent experience of being a kidney donor.
The talk will be held in the lecture theatre, part of the Education Centre, at Airedale Hospital, Keighley, on Tuesday November 12 from 10.30am to 11.45am.
Everyone is welcome and places are free but need to be booked in advance, either by telephone (01535) 294540 (24-hour answerphone) or via email members@anhst. nhs.uk.
Governors are encouraging people living near the hospital to become more involved in its work.
